Our Story

Fund Education Trust (FET) is a youth-led, community-driven non-profit organization committed to expanding access to quality education and digital empowerment for vulnerable and underserved learners across Kenya. Established in January 2024, the organization was founded on the belief that every child and young person, regardless of their socio-economic background, deserves an equal opportunity to access education, acquire relevant skills, and build a sustainable future.

The idea for founding Fund Education Trust began in 2023, and it was officially established on 10th January 2024 to address educational inequalities experienced by vulnerable students in Kenyan communities. During its pilot phase, FET implemented a community-based identification model in which staff and volunteers worked closely with the Kenyan Peasants League, local leaders, teachers, parents, and community members in Migori and Nairobi to identify learners unable to continue their education due to financial and social challenges.

Since its inception, FET has evolved from a small community initiative into a growing organization with operations in 15 counties, having directly supported over 530 students from primary school to university and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.

Our Vision

To create an inclusive society where every learner has equitable access to quality education, digital opportunities, and the skills necessary to achieve their full potential.

Our Mission

To empower vulnerable learners and youth through educational support, digital skills development, mentorship, and community partnerships that promote lifelong learning, economic empowerment, and sustainable development.
